- St Michaels Hill; Far reaching views on a clear day from the folly on top of this wooded hill, which has perhaps the best Norman motte & bailey earthworks in Somerset.
- Ham Hill Country Park; great views, interesting walks. An iron age fort + Roman occupation and where the mellow coloured Ham stone was quarried to construct buildings in the surrounding villages.

Sat 19th June Carnival Evening. Floats assemble at 6pm. Procession leaves at 6.30 BBQ beer tent and entertainment in the grounds of Montacute House.
