This week take part in our SPECIAL HALF TERM MUSEUM QUIZ and test your knowledge on popular culture, all entries will be put into a prize draw at the end of the week!
Our Tearooms will also be open this week serving organic coffee, deliciously local lunches, homemade cakes and traditional cream teas. You could even treat yourself and share a popular afternoon tea on an impressive 3 tier stand with friends or family. Our shop will also be open selling unusual, nostalgic, retro, children’s, Doctor Who gifts and mainly items related to TV and radio programmes, old and new, a real treasure trove of goodies! We have two new job vacancies! JOB VACANCIES (Job 1)
Job Title Catering & Hospitality positions in Food Preparation & Customer Service, biased toward food preparation. Our Organisation We are a unique tourist attraction with tea/lunch rooms, gift shop and an attached B&B. We serve home made and local produce. We are situated in the picturesque village of Montacute Role in structure We have 2 vacancies. You will be able to carry out a range of roles within each job. Outline of job role (Job 1) You would be responsible for food preparation & service. You would prepare & serve the food for salads, toasted sandwiches, ploughman's, quiches, cream teas etc Ideally you would also be able to make cakes, & possibly quiches. You would keep the workplace clean & tidy including using the dishwasher. You may also serve customers. Ideally you would be an all rounder and also able to act as front of house for the museum and shop where you would greet customers and use the till & card processing machine. You would make drinks and serve food to customers, clear tables, keep the workplace clean & tidy & use the dishwasher. On occasions you may be required to clean the B&B rooms Able to occasionally cover breakfast for our B&B and prepare, cook & serve breakfast for up to 6 people Candidate Profile You should be enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable, be able to prioritise & organise tasks without supervision, be able to cope well under pressure in busy situations, have good customer service skills. You should have some catering experience and have a hygiene certificate or be prepared to acquire one. Ideally you should also have experience of using a till & card processing machine. This is a part time job from the start of the Easter school holidays until the beginning of November. You should be available to work on Saturdays (between 10.30 & 5-5.15) and Sundays (between 11.30 & 5-5.15). Ideally you should also be available to work some days in the week, days/times to be discussed.
